We didn’t know Capri Starr Grotowski before her cancer diagnosis, but the Capri we did know was always a quiet, strong warrior. She battled cancer for 8 years, but you would have never known it when you spoke with her. She was always smiling, always positive, and always willing to have a little fun.

I first knew Capri as a player. She was that young savvy & smart beach baller. I was so excited to hear that she was going to be at the helm starting beach volleyball at FAU. Fast forward almost a decade and my daughter enrolled at FAU to play for the beach program. My daughters love for the sch
